Kids’ Town Park - Cincinnati Museum Center
Environmental Graphic Design / Illustration - Spring 2024
A permanent exhibit at the Cincinnati Museum Center promoting literacy through play. This project was completed during my internship at Kraemer Design & Production (KDP). My role on this project was to illustrate a map of the Children’s Museum, 14 animals, and trees and backgrounds for the animals to be apart of/interact with.

The Purpose
“Language and literacy skills are the foundation of intellectual and emotional development. Research shows that children who are exposed to 30 million words in an intentional, meaningful way before age 3 are set up for future success,”
- Elizabeth Pierce, president & CEO of Cincinnati Museum Center. (Northern Kentucky Tribune).
The Map
The map features the Children’s Museum with illustrations and labels hand drawn by me. I was given an initial rough outline by a designer at KDP and then tasked to illustrate and color all the elements for the final design.

Floor Projection Animals
I was brought on this project initially to illustrate a map of the Children’s Museum but after seeing my cat and dog on the vet location of the map, I was also asked to create 10+ different animals for the floor projection part of the exhibit.

Crawlers’ Corner
For consistency in design, my animals from the floor projection are also featured in the Crawlers’ Corner for infants/toddlers.
Talking Tree
I then created a tree for these animals to be apart of as well. The talking tree functions as a way for kids to practice rhyming and other literary devices.
The Impact
Kids’ Town Park has been featured in many articles and news stories across the Cincinnati area!
